Introduction to Crochet

18 October - 9:30am

The group continue to deliver fun workshops throughout the Spring season. Introduction to Crochet will explore the re-born phenomenon of crochet and the surprising application of this ageless craft.

Mosaic Workshop | Bee Bath

18 October

9:30am - 4:00pm

This workshop is for the total beginner. There is no cutting of tiles, just gluing, all you have to do is choose a design. A bee bath is a simple bee water feeder in your home garden, and it is a nice touch to set out for your pollinating guests. In this six-hour mosaic workshop, you will choose tiles to glue to a terracotta saucer that is 30cm in diameter. There are many, many tiles to choose from, all shapes, sizes and colours.

Mosaic Workshop | Bird Bath

"Mosaic Workshop | Bird Bath This is a special workshop to mosaic a bird bath. The terracotta bird bath is 46cm in diameter and comes with a pedestal that makes it 63cm high. In the workshop you will only have time to mosaic the bowl. This workshop is for the total beginner. There is no cutting of tiles, just gluing, all you have to do is choose a design. Discover Kanyana Day

Bring your bestie to this fun paint-and-sip experience. We will start our evening with a glass of wine and grazing boards to share. We’ll then start to paint our Full Moon masterpiece. While your masterpiece is drying, you will be taken to look through the Perth Observatory telescopes.

FireWise Workshop

This FireWise workshop is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to create fire-resilient landscapes that significantly reduce the risk of wildfire impacts on homes and communities.
Participants will engage in a hands-on experience where they will learn to design and implement FireWise demonstration landscapes, incorporating state-of-the-art Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) assessments, tailored plant species lists, and sustainable landscaping practices.

Discover the Bibbulmun/Kalamunda to Mundaring Hiking Experience.

20 October - 3pm

Kicking off at the Bibbulmun Track Northern Terminus (Kalamunda), we will travel through the former golf course that is now known as Jorgensen Park and into Kalamunda National Park. Following the creek line of Piesse Brook downwards we will admire spectacular valley views before we start heading up hill past granite outcrops and boulders and through lush mixed Jarrah forest.

The group continue to deliver fun workshops throughout the Spring season. The next workshop in the Spring series is Basket Weaving. Explore the ancient art of weaving and produce colourful, organic pieces that will last a lifetime.

Jaks Jigsaw

24 October

6:30-9:30pm

Enjoy a social jigsaw evening with other puzzle enthusiasts. All skill levels are welcome. Puzzle alone, in pairs, with a group and make new friends. Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
