Mosaic Workshop | Bee Bath

12 October

9:30am - 4:00pm

This workshop is for the total beginner. There is no cutting of tiles, just gluing, all you have to do is choose a design.

A bee bath is a simple bee water feeder in your home garden, and it is a nice touch to set out for your pollinating guests. A bee bath has different levels to allow the bees to access the water so they can step down and drink without drowning. After all, without those busy workers in the garden, you wouldn’t have as many beautiful flowers or fresh vegetables and fruit to harvest.

In this six-hour mosaic workshop, you will choose tiles to glue to a terracotta saucer that is 30cm in diameter. There are many, many tiles to choose from, all shapes, sizes and colours.

Mosaic Workshop | Tree of Life

9:30am - 4:00pm

In this six hour mosaic workshop, you will choose tiles to glue to a board made of marine plywood that is 30cm in diameter. There are many many tiles to choose from, all shapes, sizes and colours. The tree silhouette is pre cut and made from acrylic, you have the choice to add a cat or a dog (or both).

Open Studios

12 - 13 October 10.00am to 5:00pm

An event which is held in Spring and  Autumn in the City of Kalamunda.  Professional artists open their studios to the public for conversation, information and art sales. Kalamunda has a very large and diverse population of artists who enjoy the lifestyle and find inspiration for their work in this creative community.

Mother and daughter artists Rosemary and Mia Schoen present current work that explore the notion of elements. Ceramics and painting.

A Shoe, A Spanner and A Song. Acappella West

A Cappella West is heading out on the musical adventure of a lifetime, with their show, “A Shoe, A Spanner and A Song – The wonderful road trippin’ adventures of Stella and Friends”.  Join ACW and Stella as they set off on a musical journey of self-discovery, meeting a cast of colourful characters along the way.

Paint n Sip

Unleash your creativity at this Paint n Sip, where you’ll spend three hours painting a stunning vase filled with flowers, using vibrant acrylic paints. Dive into a world of patterns and colours as you craft a beautiful, unique piece of art.

Develop your bird-watching skills with local bird enthusiasts, Mike and Rachel Green. Whether it’s the Scarlet Robin, Red-tailed Black Cockatoo, or White-cheeked Honeyeater, you’ll gain confidence in identifying Lesmurdie’s birdlife by their calls, appearance, and behaviour. Discover where to spot them—from tree canopy to forest floor—with expert tips on how to find these beautiful birds.
